Ctrl Engine Manager

Ctrl Engine Manager is installed alongside Ctrl Engine.

Ctrl Engine Manager runs in the System Tray and allows the processes running within Ctrl Engine to be monitored and restarted.

When running, the status of all Processes running within Ctrl Engine will be displayed.

The Settings in the Ctrl Engine Manager Window are specific to the computer running Engine.

Opening Ctrl Engine Manager

Windows

  • Navigate to the start menu.
  • Type ‘Ctrl Engine Manager’ to find the application.
  • Double-click on it to start it.
  • This will start Ctrl Engine Manager in the system tray.
  • Navigate to the system tray at the bottom right corner of the display, then select the Ctrl Engine icon.

Default View

The default view dispays a realtime Log from Ctrl Engine and allows individual processes within Ctrl Engine to be reset.

Admin

Pressing Admin opens the Ctrl Engine web interface in a browser window. https://localhost:3000

Note: this web interface can be accessed from any other computer on your network by typing in the IP address of the computer running Ctrl Engine follower by port number 3000. i.e. https://10.0.0.10:3000

Note: Users will not be able to connect to the web UI if Ctrl Engine is on a separate network.

Settings

Configure the key settings of Ctrl Engine:

Auto Start

This option determines if Ctrl Engine will automatically start when your computer is booted or not.

Reset All

This will clear all settings and attempt to uninstall the Ctrl Engine service. - Stop Ctrl Engine from running before using this option.

Quit

The quit option closes Ctrl Engine Manager.

Note: quitting Ctrl Engine Manager does not end the Ctrl Engine Process. To end the Ctrl Engine process, use the Stop option on the Engine Manager landing page.
