Licenses

The license page is used to add, remove and view all licenses alongside viewing the system-wide usage limit.

Active Licenses​

This widget shows all active licenses currently installed on your Engine incidence, including the following:

  • Serial - The serial number associated with the license.
  • Level - The license type (i.e. Production / Beta). Quantity of Players that can be attached to the system.
  • Entities - The number of Entities that can be attached to the system.
  • Players - The maximum quantity of Players that can be attached to the system.
  • Support Expires - Every Ctrl Engine purchase provides 1 year of complimentary updates & support at no extra cost. The date displayed marks the end of this.

Usage Limits​

This widget shows the maximum combined usage limit for the Engine.

Workspace Entities​

This widget shows the license usage of the workspace that is currently active.

This should be either the same or less than the Engine's usage limit.

License Management

Ctrl Suite licenses that are assigned to user accounts can be assigned to, or removed from diffrent Ctrl Engines if an internet connection is available.

Installing a License​

Navigate to the License tab within the Ctrl Engine Web interface, then navigate to the top right-hand side and select Install License then follow the steps within the UI.

Uninstalling a License​

Navigate to the License tab within the Ctrl Engine Web interface, then select the red Uninstall option at the bottom of the license you want to uninstall.

Updating a license​

Navigate to the License tab within the Ctrl Engine Web interface, then uninstall the current version of your license using the steps above. Re-install the same license using your web interface.
