Ctrl Player Troublshooting Tips

No Engine can be discovered on the network:

  • Ensure your Ctrl Player device is on the same WiFi / Wired network as your Ctrl Engine.
  • Ensure your Ctrl Engine is licensed and running.
  • Ensure the firewall on the computer running Ctrl Engine allows communication.
  • Ensure the firewall on the computer running Ctrl Player allows communication.

Clearing the connection

Note: Clearing a Ctrl Player connection means Player will no longer auto-connect to a Ctrl Engine upon startup. Following a reset, re-connect Ctrl Player to Engine by entering the credentials of the Engine to be connected to.

To clear connection on desktop:

  • Navigate to the gear icon in the top left corner of Ctrl Player.
  • Select the Clear Connection option.
  • Done!

To clear connection on iPadOS and macOS:

  • Navigate to the home screen of your iOS/iPadOS device.
  • Select Settings.
  • Scroll down until you see the Ctrl Player App listed, then select it.
  • Under the Ctrl Player Settings options, set the Clear Connection switch to the on position.
  • Navigate back to the Ctrl Player App.
  • Done!
