How can I control the volume of a Yamaha MTX audio matrix processor from Ctrl Suite or Ctrl for iPad

To control the Yamaha MTX3 from Ctrl for iPad or Ctrl Suite firstly need to send the Device run mode query as TCP devstatus runmode. We recommend adding a separate button to send this command when first testing.

For example, to control the output level of a microphone or similar, the MTX’s channel fader level can be controlled.

In this case, the TCP command to send would be setn MTX:mem_512/20024/0/<channel number>/0/0/0 0 0 $1 (Shown on page 93 of the manual - where $1 is the slider level output from either Ctrl Suite or Ctrl for iPad).

Note: _Within Ctrl for iPad or Ctrl Suite, open the Settings for the Slider or Stepper, and modify its maximum value to 1023 and minimum to 0.
