Why are quotation marks in my string not being sent correctly from Ctrl for iPad?

This can be caused by iPadOS replacing standard quotation marks with its smart punctuation.

This option can be disabled by:

  • Navigate to the iPad Settings > General > Keyboard then un-check Smart Punctuation.
  • Restart Ctrl for iPad, then retype your string.
  • The quotation marks should now appear as standard marks.
